Graduation Program

Graduation program (Grade 12)

Grade 12 students need to pick a graduating stream; and which they will complete a graduating vocational certificate in:

Graduating streams:
  1. Herbalist/ healer - focused on the medicinal and nutritional properties of plants (required to complete national herbalist foundational exam)
  2. Nature conservationist - focused on protecting and rehabilitating nature (required to complete national conservation foundational exam)
  3. Wayfinder/ expedition leader - focused on navigation, planning and safety (required to complete training required of mountain guides)
  4. Maker - focused on building tools and structures (required to take national assessment related to preferred skill, e.g. carpentry, welding, building, etc.)
  5. Storyteller - focused on creating and communicating experiences to shape and share understanding (required to produce and publish a culminating work of writing, film, or art)

Streams are chosen at the end of Grade 11. All students wishing to graduate from BDS Adventure High are required to have completed Grade 11 at BDS Adventure High in order to register for Grade 12, and to graduate from BDS Adventure High.
